Catherine Schoch MA - Artist

I have been selected as a finalist in the 2016 Noosa Art Awards. The work, Fraser Island Dichotomy, gives a visual experience of being present at two iconic places of this environment.

Stone, Water and Living Earth  was a series of creative responses to the environment and its elements by artists Glenda Hobdell, Catherine Schoch, Virginia Jones and Craig Tapp. Each of the works is presented as a separate, immersive installation and is an extension of work made for past Lines in the Sand festivals.

I am a Brisbane-based digital artist and arts consultant. As an artist I am concerned with social, cultural and environmental discourse and commentary.

My Big Bear Story and It All Begins with Love are two community projects from Creative Regions designed to start conversations about Domestic violence. I was commissioned to develop education packages to support both of these important arts projects.

I have been accepted for a four week artist residency  at Camac-Centre d'Art Marnay Art Centre during August.  The residency will continue my work on experience and Journey and will combine photography and video projection.
